"39 Russell" is spacious fully self contained cottage accommodation, enhanced by local ceramics and original paintings.

French doors open onto a charming, sunny, private courtyard lined with olives, citrus fruits and feijoas, over-looking Port Nelson, our famous Boulder Bank and Tasman Sea.

The cottage offers a master Queen bedroom with super ensuite and a second bedroom with two single brass beds and a separate bathroom.
Each bathroom has unlimited water for pulsing showers.

summer, with folding windows and doors thrown open to
the sea breezes, the Italian courtyard creates a romantic
ambience for two or a theatrical setting to entertain
a large group of friends. The sunny spacious living area
has a cosy studio winter fire for Nelson frosty winter
nights usually followed by crisp early mornings and gorgeous
sunny azure blue-skied days.

Being in this cottage has been a pleasure for the eyes and for the heart. In Italy we live surrounded by art, and yet this place deeply touched us. Too bad we can stay for such a short time… We’ll come back, sooner or later!!! Thanks for everything.

I have enormous pleasure in announcing the return of this sublime self-contained hillside cottage, where acclaimed artist Jane Evans has used her creative talents and good taste to create a place you'll never want to leave. Folding doors and windows open to sea views and a divine courtyard; and with two guest rooms (both with bathrooms), it's an ideal stop for two couples. Suffused with color, original art, fabulous books, and a bulging pantry, it is one of the best-value B&B stays in the country. Jane does her part for the environment by utilizing solar energy and environmentally friendly cleaning products. Make sure you arrange a studio visit so you can see into Jane's creative world.
